New York · Brown CS ’20
Hi, I'm Kevin. I'm a software engineer in New York, working on Threads at Meta. Before that: a startup, a crypto company, and a few years at Amazon.
Cloud infrastructure, music, crypto, and public conversation. A few chapters in building software people use.
I'm a software engineer on Threads, Meta's app for public conversations. A social product brings its own set of questions: how people share ideas, find their communities, and decide which conversations are worth joining. That's the world I'm building in now.
I worked on Ethos, a cryptocurrency mobile wallet. The challenge: bringing a technically complex world onto a small, everyday screen and making it feel approachable.
I worked on Voyager's consumer crypto product during a fast-moving period for the industry. Software at the intersection of finance and everyday life, where clarity and reliability carry real weight.
My first full-time engineering role after Brown. I returned to Amazon after two summer internships, this time in Boston, and got a closer look at how a large engineering organization builds and ships software.
One summer on AWS Aurora, Amazon's cloud database, followed by another on Amazon Music. Two different views of software: the infrastructure behind a product, and the experience in someone's hands.
I write occasionally, mostly to figure out what I think.
When I'm not working.
Took a cooking class and still can't make mole like that.
Mostly bouldering. Mostly falling.
My mom's dumpling recipe, slowly getting the folds right.

Way too much 70s Japanese city pop.

A winter in Asia
December 17, 2026 – January 12, 2027
Philippines → Vietnam → Taiwan → Japan. Beaches, coffee, a birthday in Taipei, and a wedding in Kyoto.
See the route on the map ↗The rough plan, with room to wander. Workshops and weather-dependent days are still flexible.
Dec 19
Settle in and recover after the journey.
Dec 20–22
Lio Beach, sunsets, and a lagoon boat trip with kayaking if the weather cooperates. A little browsing at Kalye Artisano.
Dec 23–25
Beach days and a slow Christmas. Hoping to try beginner kitesurfing, with time for a spa or sunset sail.
Dec 26
An easy overnight and a little rest between stops.
Dec 27–29
Cafés and neighborhood walks. Hoping to make a clean, woody perfume and take a hands-on coffee workshop.
Dec 30–Jan 4
New Year’s Eve, good food, and a little wardrobe shopping. January 4 is my birthday: tea, a special meal, and maybe a hot spring.
Jan 5–8
A welcome dinner on January 6 and a wedding on January 7. Then a quiet day, with a scarf workshop or fitting if it works out.
Jan 9–10
Namba, cafés, some shopping, and a little time to work and unwind before heading home.
Leaving New York December 17. Heading home January 11, back in New York January 12.
My favorite Pokémon card: Muse with Grey Felt Hat, from the Van Gogh collab. PSA 10.
